Conflict in Northern Uganda
A terrible war has raged in the bush of northern Uganda victimizing the population, especially children. They are subject to brutal violence and kidnapping. The children are forced to become soldiers and wives in the "rebel" movement of the Lord's resistance Army. More than 20,000 children have been abducted by the LRA over the years and as many as 2 million people have been forced into camps for internally displaced people, unable to stay in their villages.
